Ongoing work for HS2 at the Wendover Memorial Woodland

A Statement from Rennie Grove Hospice Care

The HS2 project has made us aware that contractors will be undertaking further works near the Rennie Grove Wendover Memorial Woodland off Bacombe Lane starting from 22 February 2021.

The works will take place in the field adjoining the woodland and will involve the diversion of a public footpath to allow for utility surveys to take place and the construction of a temporary site compound for parking and storage. The diversion route will be cleared and cut back prior to being opened to the public.

The work will not directly affect the remaining areas of the woodland and members of the public will still be able to visit. However, visitors should expect more noise and disruption than usual as teams of workers and some heavy machinery will be onsite to perform this work.
