Open up your garden this summer to support local hospice care

Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity is holding another fantastic floral fundraiser this summer and is looking for talented local gardeners to show off their gardens and help raise money to support the future of local hospice care.
After a successful first-ever Open Garden fundraising event last year which raised over £6,000, the charity is asking any green-fingered and budding gardeners who are proud of their gardens and want to share them with their local community, to get involved in this year’s Open Gardens initiative. It’s a perfect way to share your passion for gardening and raise money for charity.
Claire Redrup, the charity’s Public Fundraising Senior Manager told us, “Last year we had a great response to our brand-new blooming event and we know there are some fantastic gardens out there, and we’d love to support local communities to open them up and raise funds for the Hospice.”
They are looking for individuals, streets and communities to open their gardens to the public for a day or two between May and September as part of their Season of Open Gardens. Whatever the size, location or theme of your garden, if you’re interested in opening up yours to the public and helping raise much-needed funds for the Charity, then please get in touch to find out more at fundraising@fnhospice.org.uk or call 01296 429975.
