Overnight road closures of Moorfield Road, Denham for repairs

HS2 Limited is undertaking repairs to Moorfield Road, Denham.

To safely carry out repair work to Moorfield Road in Denham, HS2 Limited will need to close the road overnight in two phases. During the road closures access will be maintained for residents and emergency services. All other traffic will be diverted away from Moorfield Road.

The first phase of resurfacing started this Monday, 16 August, and will continue until Monday 23 August 2021. The road will be closed from 9pm to 5am overnight whilst they strip and resurface the damaged road.  They will return from Monday 13 September 2021 to Thursday 16 September 2021 to install anti-skid loops to complete the resurfacing works. The road will again be closed from 9pm to 5am each night.

During both phases of work the road will be opened daily between 6am and 9pm.  Advanced diversion notices will be in place two weeks beforehand and a signed diversion route will be created for motorists travelling between Harefield and Denham during the road closures.

Traffic will be diverted between Denham to Harefield via Harvil Road, Swakeleys Road, A40 Western Avenue/ Oxford Road and A412 Denham Avenue/Orbital Way.
