Petitioning Process for HS2 has started
Following the approval of the HS2 Hybrid Bill at Second Reading the petitioning process for HS2 has now started. David Lidington is happy to deposit petitions on behalf of his constituents. The details of how to do this are below.
Constituents will need to bring their completed petitions, including completed cover sheets, and if relevant Roll B and certificate of respectability forms to the Conservative Offices on Walton Street between the hours of 10am to Midday or 2pm to 3pm from 6 to 16 May inclusive. The deadline of 16 May has been set to ensure David has adequate time to deposit the petitions with the relevant Parliamentary authorities.
If possible the £20 payment should ideally also be in the form of a cheque (this should be made payable to ‘GBS: re HoC: Administration’ and marked ‘HS2’ on the back).
Although every effort will be made by David and his team to ensure constituent’s petitions are correct before David submits them this cannot be guaranteed and constituents should contact the Private Bill Office directly should they wish to clarify anything regarding their petition.
The Private Bill Office can be contacted using the details below.
