Pippa runs for MIND

In January 2021, I saw an Instagram post about a charity sponsored run for MIND, 27 miles in 27 days. This amazing charity provides advice, help and support for anyone experiencing mental health problems. Today, five times as many students experience mental health issues as ten years ago. Although I enjoy team sports, I am not a runner, but was interested to take up this challenge and push myself to raise money for a great cause.

At the time of writing, I have under a week to go. I have managed to run at least a mile every day of March 2021, except Sundays. I have run through rain and shine usually after work. (I work as a TA in a local primary special school). I have really enjoyed my time doing this and it has been amazing to see so many people giving me a wave and cheer of encouragement. I have raised over £1,000 and am so grateful to all of my lovely friends and family for their donations and support. This challenge has inspired me to continue running, but only when the weather is nice!
