Pop In to Pop Up Art Weekend

The Chilterns MS Centre’s annual art exhibition and sale is back on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th March, bigger and better than ever before! The Centre, that provides vital care and support for people with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), will be transformed into an art gallery and open its doors to hundreds of people over the weekend.

New to the exhibition is actress Gillian Wright, widely known for her role as Jean Slater in EastEnders. Gillian will be exhibiting her beautiful felted bags that are made between scenes in dressing rooms on set or in theatres. She will be joined by 100 other talented artists, both professional and amateur, and a selection of homemade refreshments will also be on offer. With a selection of exciting new artists exhibiting this year, you can expect to find a fabulous of art in all media from painting, photography and textiles to ceramics, jewellery and glass to suit all budgets.

Over the past 12 years the exhibition has been running almost £100,000 has been raised. This has enabled the Centre to provide an incredible 2,750 hours of physio, hydro, oxygen, occupational and complementary therapies to people in the local community with multiple sclerosis. These life changing and supportive therapies make a real difference to those living with MS.

It costs the charity £1m to meet the needs of people with MS and events like the Pop Up Art Weekend are vital to enable them to continue to empower their members to lead happy and healthy lives. This type of regular and long term support is not available on the NHS.

Sponsored by Michael Anthony Estate Agents, the Pop Up Art Weekend will take place on 3rd & 4th March, at the Chilterns MS Centre, Oakwood Close, Wendover.
