Praise for Chiltern Way Academy

At Chiltern Way Academy Wendover we continue to provide schooling for our students who are most in need. This includes continuing to open over the May half term holiday so that key worker parents can continue to deliver essential services.

We have been praised for our efforts with a very exclusive letter of recognition from Baronness Berridge – the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for the School System. In her letter she thanks CWA for

“…all you are doing to care for the most vulnerable children in your community, despite the exceptional circumstances brought about by the Covid-19 outbreak and the significant impact it is having on all aspects of school life.”

We have been informed that only 15 schools out of 21,000 schools in the country have received such a letter. Our staff are over the moon to receive such high praise from the government.

As per continued guidance we will be aiming to increase our attendance numbers after half term and work with even more of our students. We are working hard on changing the school environment accordingly with initiatives such as one way systems and strict social distancing protocols.
