Princess Mary’s Hospital Remembered
A short Service Of Remembrance organised by Station Archivist, Min Larkin, was held at the Tribute to the Princess Mary’s Hospital site last weekend. Princess Mary’s Royal Air Force Nursing Service was represented by Squadron Leader Anne-Marie Young, Practice Nursing Officer at the Regional Medical Centre at RAF Halton, who laid a wreath. Also attending the ceremony was Group Captain (Retd) Henry Tuppen, past Commanding Officer at the Hospital.
The inscription on the Tribute reads:
This Tribute Commemorates The Princess Mary Royal Air Force Hospital
Halton And Units Of The Medical, Dental and Nursing Services Who Served On This Site 1927 – 1995.
The Tribute is situated by where the entrance was to the Hospital before it was demolished.
