RAF Halton Apprentices Act of Remembrance
A Dedication Service and Act of Remembrance has been held for the RAF Halton Apprentices’ Association (HAA) in St George’s Church. This was followed by a memorial service and wreath laying ceremony at the HAA Tribute in front of Kermode Hall. The Station Commander, Group Captain James Brayshaw, and Air Chief Marshal Sir Stephen Hillier KCB CBE DFC ADC MA RAF were in attendance for the duration of the Act and afterwards attended lunch with Veterans in Halton House. The Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire, Lieutenant Colonel Simon Wilkinson TD DL and other local dignitaries from AVDC also attended.
After the Church Service the ex-Apprentices marched from St Georges to the Tribute to the musical accompaniment by the Golden Oldies Pipes and Drums Band.
