Thank You Thompson Intake
Wendover Friends of Guiding and The Wendover Swimming Pool are grateful to Thompson Intake for their hard work tidying the gardens and painting at the Guide Hut and Pool on 17 July. Despite the hot weather, much work was done and the sites are ready for the summer!

Formal Reception
Wednesday 12 July RAF Halton’s Station Commander, Group Captain Startup, hosted the Annual Formal Reception at Halton House Officers’ Mess for the first time in over 2 years. Guests from the local and wider community attended the event and were welcomed with a reception, flypast and Sunset Ceremony.

Congratulations to…
Flight Sergeant Williams, Requirement Analysis Wing; Corporal Watkins and Air Specialist (Class 1) Soper, Medical Centre; Mrs Jacobs; Corporal Gibbs; and Mr Machen on receiving Station Commander Coins this summer. Also congratulations to graduates on their successful course completions.

30 June saw RAF Halton’s first ever Colour Run, celebrating Pride month and fundraising for the charity Mind. In July, Initial Force Protection Training Flight celebrated the RAF Regiment’s 80th anniversary by completing a ‘1942 Challenge’ charity event which saw them raise over £2,500 for the Centurion Fund and the RAF Benevolent Fund.
