RAF Halton hosts Annual Reception

RAF Halton’s Station Commander, Group Captain Adrian Burns, has hosted the Annual Reception at Halton House Officer’s Mess with over 100 guests attending, one of them, the Guest of Honour, was The Vice Lord Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire.

During the first part of the reception the Station Commander and Vice Lord Lieutenant toured the main salon meeting and chatting with guests with music accompaniement supplied by The RAF Halton Volunteer Band.

Later the guests were invited outdoors for a Sunset Ceremony by Station personnel and an Honour Guard by Servicemen Awaiting Trade Training, SATT’s, Music was from the RAF Halton Pipes and Drums and a fly past by a Spitfire from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.

Group Captain Adrian Burns addressed the guests, saying: “Thank you to each and every one of you for attending this occasion. We appreciate the continued support of the civil and local community as we endeavour to support you. It has been humbling to hear you talk about what RAF Halton means to you and I hope our continued mutual relationship continues. I must also thank my personnel for all their hard work in making this reception so successful, also the Volunteer Band, the Halton Pipes and Drums and the superb fly past by the by the Spitfire from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.”
