RAF Halton hosts Senior Citizens Christmas Party

RAF Halton recently hosted over 120 local senior citizens at a Christmas party. The Station Commander, Group Captain Adrian Burns and volunteers from across the Station served their visitors with a delicious turkey lunch with all the trimmings prepared by the ESS catering team. The party also included games of bingo, a raffle and much singing and dancing.

The annual event is an opportunity for Station personnel to meet some of the local residents and in turn show them the RAF knows how to have fun. Iffy, from Wendover, summed up the event, saying: “It has been wonderful, everyone is very welcoming and the hospitality has been great.” However, Vic, also from Wendover, commented: “I enjoyed it tremendously but the sprouts have not changed.” Perhaps Vic was an ex-recruit!

At the conclusion of the event the guests were ferried home in transport provided free of charge by Motts coaches.
