Historic Donations
In November, following the RAF Halton Apprentices Service of Remembrance, the Station Commander (Stn Cdr) Group Captain Startup was introduced to Mr Jim Blacklock, whose father Group Captain (Gp Capt) Graham ‘Gerry’ Blacklock joined the RAF as a Halton Apprentice, on Entry 23 from 1931-1933. The Stn Cdr was presented with two Pilot’s Log books and miniature set of medals which have now been presented to the Trenchard Museum. The museum already displays a copy of Gp Capt Blacklock’s autobiography ‘Half a Life, Half Remembered’.
