Remembrance in Wendover 2014

Remembrance Sunday, 9 November 2014, was bright and sunny for the crowds who gathered to see representatives of the local military organisations, political and community organisations, uniformed and school youth and the churches lay wreaths at Wendover War Memorial to remember those who lost their livesin service for this country. As usual, the ceremony started at 2.30pm when many of these organisations marched up the High Street to the Manor Waste, with their banners.

It was more dull and cold at 11am on Tuesday 11 November when people gathered to remember the actual moment of Armistice on 11:11:1918.
