Rennie Grove Hospice Chilterns 3 Peaks Challenge 2013
Rennie Grove Hospice Care is asking local people to dig out their walking boots and sign up for its annual Chilterns 3 Peaks Challenge on Sunday 15 September. This popular sponsored walk set in the beautiful Chiltern hills is a key fundraiser for the charity which provides a vital service in the heart of our local community caring for patients and families facing the very different challenges posed by cancer and other life-limiting illnesses.
The Chilterns 3 Peaks Challenge offers 3 different routes with 5, 9 or 18 mile options meaning that whatever your age or fitness level, you can find a personal challenge to suit. All routes follow the famous Ridgeway national trail and take you through the stunning Chilterns countryside with the 5 mile route including the first two peaks of Whiteleaf Cross and Coombe Hill, and the 9 and 18 mile routes also including the third and final peak at Ivinghoe Beacon.
The event is the perfect opportunity to walk as a family or with a group of friends, enjoying time spent together in scenic surroundings – even the dog can come along!
Entry to the Chilterns 3 Peaks Challenge costs £17 for adults and £10 for children. Entry fees include a t-shirt, medal and water along the route. Dogs are free! Further details and registration is available at www.c3peaks.com. Please join us for an enjoyable day and help us make a difference to patients and families in the local community.
