Serving the community focus in the daily council video update
The great response by the community to the coronavirus emergency is highlighted in today’s (Monday) daily video update (Vlog) from Buckinghamshire Council Leader Martin Tett.
Joining Martin is Veronica Corben BEM, who chairs the Winslow Big Society Group, and who talks about how the group’s work in their local community has altered in response to the Covid-19 crisis.
Veronica, who was awarded the British Empire Medal in the Queen’s New Year Honours, for her services to the community, tells how the group co-ordinates its hotline phone contact service, runs shopping, dog-walking and medicine delivery services in the Winslow area.
The Winslow Big Society Group’s hotline is 07508 330750 and contact can be made by email at contact@winslowbigsocietygroup.info
