Seventh Aston Clinton Beer Festival – 27-29 July

Now in its 7th year, the Aston Clinton Beer Festival (ACBF) has become a firm fixture on the village social calendar. When the event was founded in 2012, the organisers deliberately set out to put on an inclusive event which had something for everyone, but still took its beer seriously.

That ethos continues today, with the primary aim of the festival being to raise money for local charities with the secondary aim of making sure that all of the visitors to the event have a great time.

A focus on booking great bands over three themed days has kept the music fans happy, whilst an array of children’s entertainment means that the youngsters don’t have time to get bored!

With the continuing trend for everything “craft”, there has always been a focus from the organisers on procuring the best beer, cider and other produce that they can find. Local brewers beers make up a large proportion of the 80 different cask ales on offer and the remainder are sourced via Aston Clinton’s own drinks specialist supplier, Dayla. Using Dayla to source out of region beer has allowed the festival team to obtain produce from some of the best British brewers out there.

This year’s festival sees some exciting changes; the addition of a Craft Gin bar (in partnership with Craftyard in Tring), much more cover from the elements and a new compact stage which will be closer to the bar and make the atmosphere in the beer tent electric.

There will be an improved range of food on offer including pizza from the ever popular “Mozzarellanation” and newcomers “Bokkie”, who will be serving South African street food. From the village, new enterprise “Bee Happy” will be serving up popcorn and candy floss as a special treat.

Because of the rising cost of keeping what has become a large public event secure and safe for everyone, there will be a entrance fee to pay this year. To keep costs down the ACBF team are offering generous discounts if you book online. Free entry for under 18’s when accompanied by an adult. Discounted tickets, souvenir glasses and beer vouchers are available from
