Short’s Back and Sides
Dave Short, a driver from the Serco Motor Transport Section at RAF Halton, has this week Braved The Shave by having his hair shaved off in aid of the charity, MacMillan Cancer. Colleague, Debbie Moore, did the honours shaving his head, in one of the MT yard garage areas.
He said: This charity is close to my heart after seeing so many family members, friends and colleagues suffer with it. My father died from it and I myself had a scare earlier this year. I offered to have my chest waxed if anyone can come up with £150 but I had no takers, however, the offer still stands!!!
Dave, who was formerly an ambulance driver, was an ATC Warrant Officer for 25 years and has worked for Serco for 20 years, the first 10 being in the Station armoury and the latter at the MT Section.
