Sport Maker Opportunities in Aylesbury
1. On 29th August 2013, Stoke Mandeville Stadium are hosting a celebration of Paralympic Sport on the anniversary of the London Paralympic Games last year. This will be a high profile event with a number of activities and games taking place throughout the day, including tennis, basketball, shooting and hand cycling. Sport Makers are needed on the day to help run all of the fantastic activities and once again, ensure there is a lasting legacy from London 2012.
We can only accommodate a maximum of 20 Sport Makers so if you are interested in this great opportunity, it will be on a first-come-first-serve basis. Please contact Ian Barham at ibarham@bucks2012.org by Wednesday 21st August, but only if you are actually able to commit to helping out. Once we have full numbers, we will contact you again with the final details for the day.
2. Starting in September, the popular parkrun events are coming to Aylesbury and they need your help. Sport Makers are needed to help out on Saturday mornings in the following roles:
- Timers,
- Marshals,
- Tail runners,
- Photographers,
- Token Collectors and more.
Volunteering is completely flexible and extremely simple. Whether you want to help every week or three times a year, all offers will be gratefully received.
