St Albans Visual Arts Festival is for all

Herts Visual Arts Forum (HVAF) are delighted to be showcasing their work at the first event at the beginning of the exhibition calendar.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for artists to promote their work and meet people interested in beautiful, contemporary art,” said the Chair of HVAF, “Vintry Gardens is a beautiful, walled area making a fabulous backdrop to our Members’ art.”

Artist Aisha Adi, said the inaugural St Albans Visual Arts Festival (SAVAF), in Hertfordshire, was “for all”.

The festival will be held in a variety of places across the city, including the cathedral and Vintry Garden, as well as a mural being installed on Drovers Way.

Running from 29th to 6th May, Herts Visual Arts Forum are delighted to have partnered with St Albans BID to take over Vintry Gardens near the Cathedral for the day on Saturday 30th April.

“I’m excited to see it all come together – this is most definitely just the start. We’re planning to expand and do something even bigger next year.” said Ms Adi

Aisha said there would be something for everyone as a “plethora” of about 50 artists were taking part across the weekend, showcasing more than 100 pieces in a variety of styles, including contemporary, abstract, traditional, landscape, sculpture, ceramics and photography.

The first of a year of events for Herts Visual Arts, HVAF Members will follow this day with their own marquee at Living Crafts in Hatfield Park over the first weekend of May, with artists demonstrating their processes to the public.
