St George’s Day Victorian Historical Fayre and Parade
Step back in time at Aylesbury Town Council’s St George’s Day Victorian Historical Fayre and Parade. This entirely free event is back with a brand-new format on Sunday 24 April for families to enjoy.
Marvel at Dr Melford’s Travelling Show which features the World’s Strongest Man, Bone Seer the Fortune Teller and other spectacular side-acts and mind-bending curiosities, meet Her Majesty Queen Victoria and her personal secretary, Sir Henry Ponsonby, be delighted by the Yarnsmith of Norwich’s tales of St George, dragons and 19th century oddities plus plenty of free Victorian themed arts, crafts, games and activities. Performances will take place throughout the day.
The Victorian Historical Fayre will take place at Discover Bucks Museum, Aylesbury from 11am-3pm on Sunday 24 April.
From 3pm, witness a parade for the town to be proud of. St George and his steed will lead fire dancers, Amersham Marching Band, representatives from Aylesbury’s Uniformed Youth and a dragon through Aylesbury’s Market Square.
