STEM Event thrills Children at RAF Halton

Another Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) event has been held at RAF Halton with children from Wendover C of E Junior School enjoying the activities.

The event which has Station personnel and Royal Aeronautical Society staff supervising, has so far put well over 1000 children from local schools through the programme of activities designed to give them the experience of flight and all things engineering.

The Station STEM team hold one event a month which starts with a keynote speech from Group Captain Manwaring, a fast jet navigator, who is himself building an aircraft to circumnavigate the world.
