Summer Bytes continues at The National Museum of Computing until September
The Summer Bytes Festival is continuing at The National Museum of Computing on Bletchley Park with digital creative fun at the home of Colossus.
Anyone can tune in to Computer Music with technology new and old until 17 August. You don’t even need an instrument!
Daylight Astronomy on 23 August will enable visitors to see stars and planets in broad daylight! There will also be two talks to show you how you can follow up the event at home with inexpensive equipment.
The weekend of 18-26 August sees a Computer games extravaganza. Visitors can create and play retro computer games and on Sunday 24th August will even get the opportunity to meet and talk to professional gamesmakers.
The Oculus Rift virtual reality headset makes a real-life return on the Bank Holiday Sunday and Monday. It’s so realistic, it’s not for the faint-hearted.
Computerised LEGO! Returns on 27 August – 2 September with a competition with a great prize.
And on every day until 2 September, visitors can explore the Bletchley Park virtual maze to uncover clues and win a prize, try out Raspberry Pi and the new Model B+, use Fuze, craft with Minecraft, and try their hand at the not-so-easy Date Your Heritage Quiz.
