SuperShoes for St Giles
St Giles Lodge 8555 based at Bletchley Masonic Centre raised £500 to donate to SuperShoes by holding a raffle at their December Christmas Dinner.
https://www.supershoes.org.uk/ is an amazing charity that raises money to buy specifically designed shoes for children or young persons with a diagnosis of cancer.
They are hand-painted by a Super Artist to capture that child and all their favourite things: games, sports team, music, animals, colours, TV programmes.
The end product is a pair of Supershoes as unique as the child or young person that wears them. They are a constant reminder to that child of who they are, beyond their illness, challenges and treatment.
Recently St Giles members Gary Charnock and Terry Gasson visited the office of Supershoes to present a cheque to founder Sarah White.
Sarah wrote to thank St Giles “Thank you again for the very generous £500 donation! Please do pass on my sincere gratitude to all of your members as this is greatly appreciated in helping our mission to empowering children and young people fighting cancer.”
