Support available for Buckinghamshire residents this Easter

Buckinghamshire Council is offering a Helping Hand to residents that need it the most during the Easter Holidays.

Eligible Buckinghamshire parents will have been sent their £60 Easter digital food vouchers through school. These can be used at: Asda, Aldi, Morrisons, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Farmfoods, Iceland, Waitrose or M&S Food. The instructions and the digital code are included in the letter the school sends out.

If residents have any problems with using their voucher, they should complete the council’s online contact form. Alternatively, they can call the Voucher Customer Service team on 0800 587 2294. The line is open every day from 8am-8pm, including on Good Friday and Easter Sunday.

Buckinghamshire Council also has free, high-quality holiday activities running in 36 locations across the county for children who receive benefit-related free school meals. For information on the activities and how to book, please visit the council’s Holiday Activities and Food Programme webpage.

“I’d encourage eligible families to take up the digital food vouchers on offer. They are simple to use and can be redeemed at most major supermarkets by using your mobile phone or printing them out. Just remember to redeem them before they expire.

“Our Helping Hand team is also available to connect Buckinghamshire residents with the support they need, including those on low incomes and those who are experiencing a financial emergency or crisis. The team is able to offer support and advice on gas, electricity and other essential household costs.
