Survey reveals most important considerations for Buckinghamshire residents when moving home
There are a lot of considerations that come alongside moving home, and a new survey from leading housebuilder Barratt and David Wilson Homes has revealed the most important factors to Buckinghamshire homebuyers.

The survey, conducted by the five star developer*, disclosed that residents in Buckinghamshire deem comfort in the home as the most important aspect when moving home, with quality of the local neighbourhood also being an important consideration.
Therefore, the housebuilder is identifying why its developments in the county may suit the considerations of property seekers in the area.
Having spent more time than ever in our homes as a result of the pandemic, it has become clear how important comfort is. With working from home becoming the norm for many people, having the ideal space to focus and relax in is vitally important.
It is therefore no surprise that 51% of homebuyers in Buckinghamshire have identified comfort in the home as a top priority.
Alison Raine, Sales Director at Barratt and David Wilson Homes Northampton, said: “It is easy to see how feeling at ease in your own home is a top consideration for homebuyers. All of our homes in Buckinghamshire are designed to give the resident lots of space, such as having an open-plan kitchen.
“Alongside this, many of our properties include dedicated studies or work spaces which can help to achieve a good work-life balance whilst working at home, in which socialising isn’t impacted by work, and vice versa.”
Furthermore, 43% of homebuyers in Buckinghamshire said that a good quality neighbourhood would be a top consideration when looking to buy a new home.
Alison continued: “Whether there’s already an established community, or only a handful of residents moved in, we thrive on making our developments and the local area a top place to live.
“Through our S106 agreements we contribute a significant investment to help improve and enhance the local area for residents. This includes investment into key infrastructure such as schooling, transport and sporting facilities.
“We also donate £1,000 each month to local charities and organisations in the area through our Community Fund Scheme so we can support those who help the residents of Buckinghamshire.
“Alongside this, we often work with local schools and nurseries, such as a recent bike bell donation for The Big Pedal to Water Hall Primary School in Bletchley.”
