Tapathon
The Rozelle School of Dancing would like to thank and congratulate everybody who attended and participated in our Tapathon event in support of the Children in Need appeal held at the Memorial Hall on November 17th 2019.
We had 103 dancers from 3 – 92 years of age, witnessed and enjoyed by lots of families, friends and well-wishers. In conjunction with hundreds of tapping groups across the country it does appear that we have helped to create a new record in the Guinness Book for the most number of dancers performing the same dance at the same time.
Sales of the official event t-shirts raised £1160 and the refreshment stall raised a staggering £549.60.
Our officials for this special occasion were Jane Larkham and Stephen Worth, and we even had the Tapathon organiser and choreographer, Joanne Greenhalgh, who travelled a fair distance to visit us for the day.
Thank you to them and Pudsey for their appearance and involvement.
Sue Donald, Rozelle School of Dancing
