TfB and Taylor Wimpey working in partnership

Transport for Buckinghamshire (TfB) has been working closely with homebuilder Taylor Wimpey to carry out some of its routine maintenance work during the current overnight closure of the A41, Aston Clinton Road, Aylesbury.

The closure of the A41 has allowed for essential work associated with a new housing development to be carried out and TfB has coordinated with Taylor Wimpey in order that some of its planned work can be completed at the same time, which will avoid the need to close the road for a second time.

TfB is carrying out some essential joint sealing work, which prevents the ingress of water into the road surface leading to damage and potholes. TfB will also be returning to install the white lining in order to complete the joint sealing work, within the current closure.

Deputy Leader and Transport Cabinet Member, Mark Shaw said: “Much of the work that TfB carries out inevitably causes some disruption to the travelling public, but they do all they can to reduce this where possible. I am pleased that the TfB teams have worked with developers Taylor Wimpey to maximise the use of their existing overnight road closure – they have been most accommodating.”
