TfB’s Patching Programme Continues

Transport for Buckinghamshire’s patching programme is continuing this week (w/c 9th March).

In March 2014, the Government announced the creation of a £168 million pothole fund available to highway authorities in England to help repair damage to local roads.

Following a successful bid to this fund, Buckinghamshire County Council was subsequently awarded £1.4million to target known pothole sites for repair.Over 130sites were chosen, and TfB has been working hard since December to complete them.

This week, the following sites will receive a visit from their patching crews:

Edgcott Road – Grendon Underwood: Sunday 8 March
These are daytime patching works being carried out utilising a road closure

Perks Lane – Prestwood: ongoing – Monday 9 March

Fulmer Drive – GX: ongoing – Wednesday 11 March
These are daytime patching works being carried out utilising give and take TM

Burford Close – Marlow Bottom: Tuesday 10 March
These are daytime patching works being carried out utilising give and take TM

Singleborough Lane – Singleborough: Tuesday 10 March
These are daytime patching works being carried out utilising a road closure

Burnham Close – Bourne End: Wednesday 11 March
These are daytime patching works being carried out utilising give and take TM

College Farm Rd – Hillesden: Wednesday 11 March

Chalkpit Lane – Marlow: Thursday 12 March
These are daytime patching works being carried out utilising an offpeak road closure

Monkton Way – Speen: Thursday 12 March
These are daytime patching works being carried out utilising give and take TM

Aylesbury Rd – Swanbourne: Thurdsay 12 March ***NIGHTS***

Abbottswood – Speen: Friday 13 March

New Road – High Wycombe: Friday 13 – 16 March
These are daytime patching works being carried out utilising offpeak 2 way traffic lights

Fieldhouse Lane – Marlow: Saturday 14 – 15 March
These are daytime patching works being carried out utilising offpeak 3 way traffic lights

In addition, TfB has started a programme of laying High Friction Surfacing (HFS) that will run throughout March. This work is extremely weather dependent, however they will be in the following locations:

Cores End Road, Bourne End – Works at the crossing between Highfield Road and New Road – Wednesday 11 March 2015
These are night-time works being carried out utilising temporary traffic lights

Latimer Road & Stony Lane, Chenies – Works at Latimer Road junction with Stony Lane – Friday 13 March 2015
These are daytime works being carried out using a road closure
