Trains return to Leighton Buzzard Railway

The Leighton Buzzard Railway’s spring season will begin with the departure of the 1030 train from Page’s Park station on Sunday 24th March. As is traditional, the first train will be flagged off by the Mayorof Leighton/Linslade, Cllr Clive Palmer, who will then enjoy a return ride to Stonehenge Works. Further trains will depart at 1230 and 1430.

It marks the start of the centenary year of the line, which opened in November 1919 to carry sand from the local quarries. Many special events are planned for the anniversary year, including two galas, as well as the return of favourites including a Father’s Day Whisky Festival, visits by characters from Paw Patrol and PJ Masks, the annual Vintage Vehicle Rally and much more. Dates and details for all events, as well as fee-free online booking, can be found at www.buzzrail.co.uk.

Also in March, Sunday 31st sees our Mother’s Day event, so why not treat her to a train ride? We’ll be running hourly trains from 1030 until 1530. Included in the ticket price this year will be a goody bag, and a printed family photo (extra copies may be purchased). In addition, the onsite Buzzrail Café will be serving cream teas.
