Tring People limited edition book now complete

Throughout the summer of 2018, Adam Hollier Photography has captured portraits of hundreds of Tring residents. The final results are now ready to view in the ‘Tring People: Portraits of a Town’ book.

To mark the fifth anniversary of his photography business, Adam decided to give something back to the community in which he works. He embarked on the innovative project hoping to attract as many local people as possible, but was surprised by the response: ‘I didn’t know what to expect when I announced my idea for a book full of Tring faces, but it’s certainly exceeded all expectations. I’ve had a wonderful few months meeting hundreds of people and I am really proud of the final book. I hope those involved, and those with any connection to Tring, enjoy flicking through the pages and ‘meeting’ all the characters inside.’

Portrait photographs were taken in different locations across the town in June, July and August at The Kings Arms, High Street Baptist Church, The Akeman, Black Goo, Jack & Alice, The Court Theatre, The Robin Hood and Tring Rugby Club. A further ‘street shoot’ took place in September to capture individuals in interesting places and landmarks around the town.

The response to the book project was overwhelming – nearly 500 photographs have been collated and now form the pages of the high quality coffee table style hardback book.

Adam continues, ‘I want to thank everyone involved in the Tring People book. I am so grateful to all those that hosted shoots, rounded up their family and friends to attend photography sessions, and those that have supported the making of the book.’

The Tring People book is available to pre-order for £35 from A limited edition of only 500 copies will be made available. Those that feature in the pages of the collection are invited to the book launch on Monday 15 October, between 6pm and 7.30pm, at The Akeman. Pre-ordered books can be collected and books can be purchased at this event. Adam hopes people will join him for a drink and a chat during the evening.
