Visit Buckinghamshire and Buckinghamshire Council welcome us back!

Visit Buckinghamshire and The Chilterns, in partnership with Buckinghamshire Council, is launching some brand-new videos and photographs to welcome everyone back to Buckinghamshire.

Their Spring campaign on the website and social media aims to reintroduce the vibrant market towns for which Buckinghamshire is renowned, highlighting the wonderful independent retailers, food and drink providers and hoteliers, as well as showcasing the beautiful countryside of which the county is so proud. In fact, the stunning scenery, diverse towns, quaint villages and historical houses have made Buckinghamshire the go-to location for film and TV productions, with the county being the most filmed in the UK!

Buckinghamshire and the Chilterns is an area of fertile farmland and there is a thriving food and drink scene to satisfy the fussiest of foodies. It is also home to a fabulous range of accommodation from luxury hotels to family run B&Bs to campsites. There is plenty of family fun to be had, with animal parks, canal trips, museums and much, much, more. And not forgetting the legacy of adopted resident, children’s author extraordinaire, Roald Dahl. Arts and culture are well served too with a large number of historic houses, interactive museums, theatres, concert venues and art galleries to enjoy.

The county has plenty to offer local residents and tourists alike, as pointed out by leading travel broadcaster and journalist Simon Calder, and Sustainability Editor at Conde Nast Traveller, Juliet Kinsman, when they attended the Visit Bucks’ Future Tourism Summit this March. The summit brought together those that work in the tourism and hospitality sector to discuss the way forward after Covid and to launch Visit Bucks Boost, a new programme of support from Buckinghamshire Business First with practical solutions and training to help the sector recover.

Lucy Dowson, Tourism Development Manager of Visit Bucks, said: “Working with Cube Video, we are delighted to showcase what our many market towns have to offer now that life is returning to some sort of normality. We hope to encourage new visitors and Buckinghamshire residents alike to enjoy all that our great county has to offer as we ‘welcome back Bucks’.”

Part-funding for this activity is being provided by the Government’s ‘Welcome Back Fund’ from Buckinghamshire Council.*

Hosted and managed by Buckinghamshire Business First, the Visit Buckinghamshire and The Chilterns website – www.visitbuckinghamshire.org/ – is the most visited tourism website in the county (over 20,000 visitors each month), providing ideas and inspiration on the best things to do and places to visit, stay, eat and drink.
