Sponsored Walk Raises £13,000

The sponsored Walk an Arm’s Length on Sunday 2 September was a resounding success. 388 walkers took to the towpath from Wendover and walked the entire Arm finishing 6 ¾ miles later at Bulbourne junction. £13,000 was raised enabling volunteers to restore a further 32.5 metres of canal, as it costs an eye watering £400 per metre using volunteer labour! It is likely that Walk an Arm’s Length will become a regular event so look out for details in 2013. Thanks to all who took part and raised sponsorship funds.
