Wendover Remembers Wall Hanging at Wendover Community Library

Last year, 2015, the Wendover Remembers Wallhanging was part of the Remembrance Parade, click here, then toured all the places associated with its making. It has now reached its final resting place in Wendover Community Library where everyone will be able to see and enjoy it for years to come.

All those associated with the making of the Wallhanging have been invited to a short ceremony at 4pm on Friday 11 November, the anniversay of Armistice Day.

Unfortunately, some of the pupil stitchers of John Hampden and Wendover CofE Junior Schools have not been traced. If your child sewed a poppy (see photo) and has not received an invitation, please ask at the Library. Each stitcher will be given a booklet explaining all about the wallhanging and there will be others for sale at the minimal cost of £1. All proceeds will be given to the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.
