Wendover CE Junior School News, November 2018

This has been a busy half-term. Children have settled well into their new surroundings and to the new school year. Already we have awarded a huge number of House Point certificates and Headteacher Awards for hard work and living our school values of Respect, Resilience, Responsibility and Reflection. Many children have applied for positions of responsibility, including House Captains, School Journalists and Maths Champions. Our extra-curricular clubs are well under way and a number of children have already represented the school at sporting fixtures.

Growth Mindset is a real strength of our school. The first of our new Extended Learning competitions this year is all about motivational slogans and using artwork to represent these. We have been astounded by the quality of the entries. We are currently reviewing our curriculum to ensure that we have the best provision we can offer – enriched with visits and opportunities for children to take a lead role in learning.

We would love to hear from you if you have a special interest or expertise that you would like to share with our children or if you can give just a little time as a volunteer. Please contact the school office: admin@wendoverjunior.co.uk.
