Wendover Celebrates 2014 Medieval Style – the day before
Wendover Football Club was a superb HQ for the whole event - many thanks to them for all their help. Many thanks to The Coffee Stop for all their contributions, too - Steve organised the attractions for the afternoon and the bands for the evening and Ami was a director with overall responsibility.
Nothing could have happened without the Terex mover and Ed Mogford. The ground was so soggy that it churned up very easily.
Guiding the stage lorry through the gate was a work of art - only millimetres to spare
The stage lorry had to be parked on hard ground and the Terra mover used to unload and take the equipment to the field
The sound and lights were brilliant on the night
It took several hours to erect the stage after all the parts had been delivered
Thank goodness the sun came out in the afternoon!
Well the event couldn't go ahead without toilets!
Good provision of facilities!
The beer tent was the first marquee to go up and it was nearly completed by 9am
The Beer tent looks ready
Dayla supplied much of the cold liquid refreshment on the day and its refridgerated lorry was invaluable
Always important to check the condition of the beer!
For hot drinks The Coffee Stop stall was available
The tea tent, with children's tent attached, and one of the barbecue tents
There's nothing like a Kings Farm Shop Hog Roast
The Medieval Villagers were there overnight so they needed to prepare the day before
Looking good and more tents and other equipment arrived as the afternoon proceeded.

Preparations for Wendover Celebrates 2014 started way back in 2013 but the heaviest workload came on Saturday 24 May, the day before.
