Wendover District success in the Girlguiding Buckinghamshire County Competition Hike 2017

Wendover District success in the Girlguiding Buckinghamshire County Competition Hike 2017 on Saturday 13 May.

Guides and Brownies entered several teams in the Annual Competition Hike and we had some excellent results. The team from 2nd Wendover Guides, ‘The Crazy Team’, won the 10Km category in a time of 2 hours 2 minutes. We also entered four other 10Km teams from both 1st and 2nd Wendover Guides, with one of the teams coming third. The 2nd Wendover Guides 20Km team, ‘GATT’, also won their category in a fast time of 4 hours 1 minute. Wendover Leaders could not quite keep up with them but were second in the leaders competition with a respectable time of 5 hours exactly. A final ‘Well Done’ goes to the Brownie Team from Stoke Mandeville who came second in their category.
