Many thanks to reader Mike Sparkes who was on the spot to take photos around 11pm last night by which time the rain off Coombe Hill was collecting around the Tring Road roundabout near the Clock Tower.
A Facebook reader noted that the drain cover near the shop No 1 High Street was removed by the ferocity of the flood. It was replaced and screwed down early on the morning of Wednesday 19 July. A street cleaning lorry has already been down the High Street cleaning the gutters of debris.
