Wendover Horticultural Society – June 2021

Unless there are future snags, it looks hopeful that COVID restrictions will be lifted in June. If that happens, the Wendover Horticultural Society will hold its first Thursday meeting since February 2020 on the first of July. Confirmation will be in the form of posters nearer the date and an e-mail to members.

We decided to move our venue to give us space and it is to be at St Anne’s Hall, not the library. To fit in with them we will meet on the first Thursday of each month, at the usual time of 2.30pm. The speaker will be John Tyler, well known to us as he has given successful talks before. He will be talking about “Fungi”. For a few minutes before that we will hold a short AGM. Please support this first meeting, visitors would be warmly welcomed.

We are hoping to get out and about as soon as we can safely, the first outing is fixed for 15 July, a coach trip to Rodmarton Manor near Cirencester. There is little time between the last road map date and the outing, but we would really like to be in a position to go ahead with the trip, if safe to do so. Minimum numbers are essential so if you are interested, non-members are welcome if we have space, please contact Diane on diane.smith131@btinternet.com for further details.
