Wendover Mum and Son to take on dancing couples for ‘Strictly Florence’ crown

Karen Thomas and son Liam from Wendover are one of 10 couples to be selected to take part in the forthcoming ‘Strictly Florence’ ballroom dancing spectacular in aid of Florence Nightingale Hospice taking place on Sunday 6th October at the Waterside Theatre – a glitzy launch event to celebrate the Hospice’ 25th Anniversary year.

The dancing couples will be taking on hours of ballroom training over six weeks starting from Sunday 25th August courtesy of dance school partners Graham and Carol of GB Dance, culminating in a live performance of a Cha Cha and a Tango on the night in front of an audience and VIP judging panel to include Mr Strictly himself, Craig Revel Horwood, who will be joined by dancer and choreographer Scott Cole (brother of Brendan Cole) and celebrity chef, presenter and writer Lotte Duncan. (Further guests to be announced at a later date.)

Tickets are now on sale for this ballroom dancing extravaganza via the Theatre Box Office on 0844 871 7607. Prices start from £20 (excluding booking fee) with a limited number of corporate tables available via the Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity office on 01296 429975 or simply email strictly@fnhospice.org.uk to find out more. (Prices on request.)
