Wendover Parish Council: View from the Chair December 2012
Firstly may I wish everybody, a very Happy Christmas and a Merry New Year. I’m one of those people, I’m afraid, who gets a bit twitchy around New Year; Christmas and the time of joy and celebration has passed, it is still a few months until Spring and the weather is usually cold, miserable and dark. However, I’m hopeful that 2013 will be different, full of sunshine for us all. My hope is that everyone, the Parish Council and residents, will be working together to achieve a successful year.
It’s been an eventful year for the Parish Council and I look back and think how proud we should all feel for the way that Wendover responded to the different challenges. Some were very obvious, such as the Jubilee celebration, the Olympics and Paralympics, Wendover Celebrates and so on. Others were not, but to some are as much to shout out about as the high profile ones just mentioned. Thank you to everyone who made 2012 a very pleasant and enjoyable year and thank you to those who gave me so much support and made the year personally memorable – you know who you are.
