Who is responsible for our pavements?

This morning two people were clearing snow on the Manor Waste. Some businesses also cleared the snow outside their premises. Bucks County Councils is actually responsible for the pavements and clearly they cannot clear every part so they will be appealing to neighbourliness to encourage those who can to do what they feel is appropriate and SAFE. Meanwhile, Wendover Parish Council were out early on Friday morning gritting the Manor Waste so it was OK during the snow and for the Local Produce Market on Saturday. The much heavier snowfall on Sunday meant they had to start again on Monday. The thinking is that Wendover’s major food supplier and pharmacy are priorities for access. Then the path gritter should help the other pavements.
