Wendover Shed – April 2023

The Wendover Shed officially opened the morning of Saturday 4 March. A crowd of about 30 people of all ages attended to have a look round the facilities, learn more – and have some cake and a cuppa!

Chair Bob Duggan spoke about the purpose and need for the Shed, and offered thanks to Wendover Parish Council and also to Ben the tractor driver for saving their bacon (or at least the ‘Hog’), when they had trouble siting the Groundhog Welfare Container, kindly donated by GE HealthCare, due to muddy conditions on site. Bob and patron Shirley Phipps, who has been involved since the initial meeting about setting up a Shed in Wendover, deftly cut and served the cake, which featured the Wendover Shed logo.

The first official Shed event, Coffee and Natter, took place Tuesday 7 March and repeats three times each week.
