Wendover Youth meet The Morris
A pleasant and delightful early June evening saw a meeting of the generations when The Morris came to visit the Wendover Youth Centre. Not just the Whitchurch men but also representatives from Towersey, Three Horseshoes and Owlswick were present. After a brief presentation about styles and history, we all went outside and performed traditional English street dance.
The youth leader Becky Murgatroyd said “I must admit I was apprehensive of how you were going to be received. But I was proved very wrong, it was amazing the young people loved it and said a big thank you. Some are really interested in doing it again.”
Don’t forget the annual St Michaels Street Folk Evening in St Albans from 8pm on the 1 July.
