Weston Project – Bucks CC Dignity & Respect Award
The Weston project is a new, innovative project based at Wendover Health Centre which has transformed the care of frail elderly patients so that they can remain independent at home. It is a very small team of specially trained community nurses and one of the core principles of the project is to preserve dignity and respect for these patients, by listening to and addressing their concerns and respecting their choices.
Dr Philippa Moreton says: “I am very keen that the team win this award – the three nurses involved, Chris Gillett, Fiona Brockwell and Lucie Pring have worked so hard, often doing many extra hours unpaid in order to provide care for someone in crisis.”
The team has been shortlisted for this Bucks CC Dignity and Respect Award which is a great achievement. Howeverwe need votes from the public in order to actually win!
Anyone can vote and it only takes a minute. The Deadline is 14th April.
