WheelPower open entries for the Mix96 Tour de Vale Bike Ride
Buckinghamshire’s biggest bike ride, the Mix96 Tour De Vale, is open for entries from today Friday 12 February.
An initial allocation of 2,000 places are available on a first come first served basis for the ride taking place of Sunday 26 June. Based on the demand of the 2014 and 2015 events, organisers are expecting another full capacity.
Cyclists will have the chance to dress up for the occasion with the first ever official Mix96 Tour de Vale jersey available during the entry process priced at £29.
In aid of Stoke Mandeville Stadium based charity WheelPower, the Tour de Vale fundraising bike ride has helped transform the lives of thousands of disabled adults and children in the 13 years since it began.
WheelPower’s Tour de Vale Director Jo Hall said “In 2015 our riders raised over £62,000 for WheelPower, an incredible total which makes a huge difference to the charity and the people we support.”
“From a relatively small local bike ride, the Tour de Vale has grown into one of the most popular sporting events in Buckinghamshire and we are so thankful for many cyclists who take part.“
“We look forward to again welcoming the many cyclists of all ages and abilities who come from all around the Aylesbury Vale and beyond at the annual this year’s Mix 96 Tour De Vale.”
The ride takes place on Sunday 26 June with three routes taking cyclists through the delightful Buckinghamshire countryside and villages.
Advanced entries (closing Wednesday 22nd June) are £15 for adults and free for children under 16 with an accompanying adult
Every rider is given chip timing. Helmets are compulsory. Start and finish is at Stoke Mandeville Stadium.
