Who’s Who at Woburn Downs – developer introduces local community to team behind new development
A brand new Buckinghamshire development, Woburn Downs has recently launched and the housebuilder Barratt and David Wilson Homes has invited the local community to meet the team.
Located on Watling Street just six miles from the centre of Milton Keynes, the new community is well underway, with its first residents having just moved in before Christmas. This development will bring a range of housing types to the area, with three and four bedroom homes available now.
Behind the success of the development is the award-winning site and sales team.
Award-wining site manager Sam Foglia was recently awarded the NHBC Pride in the Job Award’ for his expertise in the field and management of Woburn Downs. Having worked on the site for 12 months and with Barratt Homes for four years, the 37 year old is a great example of professional development.
Sam said: “Working on Woburn Downs is really exciting. I’ve been on site from the first day we started so I’ve seen it develop into where we are today. I’m excited to see how much the landscape changes over the next few years and seeing a development grow into a community, meeting the customers and building their dreams. There are a million reasons to love Woburn Downs, its location is amazing.”
“It’s close to the countryside and also close to the city. I think it’s a perfect location for those looking for a career in construction and site management, I would say, do it. You meet so many different people, you get to learn so much and grow as a person because of it. It’s a brilliant career with massive opportunities. I love what I do and I wouldn’t want to do anything else.”
Zoe Finch, Sales Adviser Team Leader for David Wilson Homes, has worked at Woburn Downs since sales staff first stepped on site in July 2020. She has worked for both Barratt and David Wilson Homes for almost five years since joining the company.
Zoe said: “The location is the perfect blend between easy access to Milton Keynes and loads of countryside walks right on the doorstep. As the development grows, we will have a school, a health care facility, community centre and new cycle routes, meaning families will be well catered for.”
Zoe said: “I finished University with very little understanding of the property market. I never expected to end up in sales but became a Sales Development Co-ordinator, with zero experience. It soon became my favourite job I had ever had.”
“I honestly love every aspect of my job. If I had to pick a highlight though, it would be the customer journey. Meeting first time buyers secure their dream home and being so excited about it is really rewarding. It’s also great to be able to be confident in the product we sell. David Wilson Homes are brilliant and I know that when I complete a handover, I’m confident that the customer will be over the moon with their new home.”
Both Barratt and David Wilson Homes have a range of two to five bedroom properties available. With homes spanning a broad range of types, all living styles are accommodated for.
Woburn Downs is currently operating on an appointment only system, and potential buyers are invited to make an appointment to view the homes which start from £342,995.
