Wendover Neighbourhood Plan December 2016

Back in the July 2016 print edition of Wendover News, District Councillor Steve Bowles wrote on page 6 encouraging all local residents to participate in the Aylesbury Vale Local Plan (VALP) consultation. When the VALP is approved, it will be the goto document for development within Aylesbury Vale District Council.

In the September 2016 print edition, Chair of Wendover Parish Council, Robert Duggan, wrote in Matters Arising on the back page encouraging people to become involved in Wendover Neighbourhood Plan. When the Wendover Neighbourhood Plan is approved it will be the primary reference document for future planning in Wendover. A Steering Group has now been established and in November they were trained in how to proceed.

The first task for this group is to organise at least one Launch Meeting to enable all local residents to have their say in how they want Wendover to develop. Any such meeting will happen in February so watch out for posters and online notifications as well as Wendover News in print. The dedicated website where you can monitor progress is http://wendoverneighbourhoodplan.co.uk/index.html.

The main areas of interest will be:

  • Housing
  • Greenspcae/environment
  • Business
  • Transport
  • Infrastructure and connectivity
  • Community Facilities
  • Conservation and Heritage

The Steerign Group would like to hear from anyone who has expertise in any of these areas which would be useful in researching into them.
