Wendover Neighbourhood Plan February 2018
The online survey of Wendover residents by the Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group will be live from mid-day 12 February to 5 March at www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/WendoverNP18.
Dwellings should receive a paper version (many thanks to the volunteer deliverers) during this period and return it to the Clock Tower by the opening of the Clock Tower on Monday 5 March. Each member of the household is eligible to complete the questionnaire which takes about 10 minutes online or 15 minutes on paper. Extra copies of the paper version are available at The Clock Tower – opening hours 9.30am to 1.30pm Tuesday to Thursday, with additional appointments available. Help to fill in the questionnaire is available if required, please phone 01296 623056.
It is vital for Wendover that as many people as possible complete this questionnaire so that when the Neighbourhood Plan is finalised it represents as diverse and numerous section of the population as possible.
The January print edition of Wendover News published a letter by Miss A Davies. The idea of a new secondary school on the RAF Halton site is certainly worthy of serious consideration. It would alleviate some of the traffic issues, although the infant and junior schools would still cause congestion in Wharf Road. The issue of secondary pupils has been left out of the equation but 1000 new homes will have children of all ages not just infants and juniors, so the need for more places at the John Colet and grammar schools appears to have been ignored. Using the whole John Colet site for housing however, would be controversial as the playing fields are a much needed facility well used by local groups.
