Woburn and Wavendon FC in their David Wilson Home sponsored kits

Two teams at Woburn and Wavendon FC have scored sponsorships with David Wilson Homes South Midlands and will be kicking off their upcoming matches in style with new kits.

Following a sponsorship from the housebuilder in 2019, the Under 8 Cyclones and Under 8 Lionesses teams have both benefitted from contributions which have bought them matchday kits.

David Wilson Homes, which is building nearby at Eagles’ Rest in Milton Keynes, is delighted to have been able to offer their support to the local club.

Robert Hill, Chair of Woburn and Wavendon FC, said: “It’s such a wonderful boost for us to receive the continued support and backing from David Wilson Homes. Financially this is huge following the challenges COVID has presented, but equally important is the investment this enables in grassroots football for our growing community in Wavendon.”

WWFC teams participate in a variety of local leagues including the Milton Keynes and District Development League. The two sponsored teams play their matches at St Mary’s primary School, Wavendon and Aspley Guise Recreation Ground.

With a number of growing families moving into various David Wilson Homes developments in the area, the local football team could be welcoming many new recruits and the properties may soon be accommodating the stars of the future.
